Floral Masterclass

A true highlight on the floral calendar each year…an entire day amongst flowers! The flower workshop is run once a year in Perth, Western Australia. Attendees will be hands on all day making a large scale floral installation piece as a group as well as individual compote centrepieces and hand tied rambling bouquets.

Riverdale Farm is home to a flower farm on a 100 acre property located on the south coast of Western Australia on the banks of the Kalgan River near Albany. Helen Leighton from Riverdale farm will be providing all the flowers for the event and will be around to answer all your flower variety and gardening questions too. Helen’s gardens are overflowing with varied and interesting floral material. It is such a rare and special thing to be able to work with farm grown flowers will all their scents, natural movement and delicate textures. There will be a bounty of garden blooms, and interesting local product.

You’ll work with and be inspired by the seasons best, including an absolute abundance of fragrant garden roses….such joy!

Each attendee will create their own arrangement and bouquet to take home with personal instruction from Debra. The large scale installation piece will be created as a group, you are welcome to be as hands on as you like or watch it all unfold with a glass of bubbles in hand!

We will love photographing the floral heaven we’ve created in the stunning light filled federation hall in North Perth with its generous spaces, arched windows and period detailing.

Enjoy a delicious lunch together at an exquisitely styled table (we will teach you the art of this too!) and enjoy wine and refreshments throughout the day. Your beautiful compote vessel, all flowers, ribbons and floral snips are yours to keep and we will ensure you receive photos for your portfolio. This day is designed to be memorable, we want you to feel the love of flowers.

Suitable for total beginners, hobbyists, stylists –  through to floral industry professionals keen to experience working with farm grown blooms and taking a day to create just for the pure joy of it all. Our full day Masterclass is the perfect experience for those wanting to travel from Interstate or overseas without having to commit to a long course.

We embrace sustainable practices and floral foam free designs for all of our workshops and courses and create a learning environment that is relaxed, calm and beautiful. This masterclass is for anyone wanting creative space for themselves, working with incredible floral product along with like minded creatives and flower enthusiasts. No experience is necessary to get full enjoyment from this workshop, everyone is welcome.
