Floral Short Course
We are changing the way we look at floristry courses and bringing something unique to the industry in Perth with our beautiful FLORAL SHORT COURSE.
Join us at in our studio at the rear of the store as we host a small group for four weeks on a Saturday afternoon (1pm – 3.30pm)
We foster a true sense of community amongst students, we want you to love learning flowers and offer a relaxed setting where you will feel comfortable to express yourself. See kind words below from previous participants.
You will make your own creation every week that you will be so proud of using SUSTAINABLE products and foam free designs. You will get to experiment with the product each week to personalise your design, we believe these personal touches matter. You will be encouraged to not just ‘copy’ what we do, unless of course you want to! Our course is generous – you will use premium produce, beautiful vessels and accessories every time you learn, that you will get to keep.
No experience is required to join this course. Suitable for anyone who loves flowers from absolute beginners to more experienced florists wanting a refresh and for those in aligned industries keen to gain more confidence with flowers (for example interior designers, stylists etc)
Week 1: Vase arrangement
Demonstration – Flower care + tools of the trade. Sustainability…..when to use what…chicken wire, flower frogs, tape etc. The best vases to buy and harnessing your natural style.
Make – Glass vase arrangement showcasing your premium blooms.
Week 2: Hand tied bouquet
Demonstration – Colour theory – tone, contrast and selection…why some combinations just work. Let your personality shine with your flower combinations. Hand tied organic style bouquet techniques and wrapping ideas.
Make – Create a hand tied bouquet with seasonal blooms in a natural relaxed ‘just picked’ style.
Week 3: Organic arrangement
Demonstration – This weeks focus is on textural composition and artistry. Natural arrangement with twigs, garden flowers, dried and fresh elements with a moss base.
Make – Create your own wild arrangement, embracing an organic, natural feel.
Week 4: Table arrangement
Demonstration – Centerpiece design and styling a table for an event. Table arrangement, elegant, whimsical design.
Make – Create your own special arrangement to take home with premium elegant flowers.
Celebrate – Style the table together using your arrangements, crockery, flatware, candles and linens to create a beautiful table display. Celebrate the end of the course with bubbles and food with your new flower friends.
Cost – $1,995 – Includes everything each week….VERY generous flowers, vessels, fixings, refreshments and final class celebration.

Classes run on Saturday afternoons. Currently only 1 short course runs each year typically in August.
