Floral Short Course
We are bringing something new to the table…CREATIVE EDUCATION.
Our floral short course is unique in the industry. We stand out from the crowd by offering a thoughtfully considered and curated product. Our course is generous – you will use premium produce, beautiful vessels and accessories every time you learn, that you will get to keep.
Join like minded creatives in a small group making beautiful blooms each Saturday afternoon during the course from 1pm – 3.30pm for four weeks. We foster a true sense of community amongst students, we want you to love learning flowers and offer a relaxed setting where you will feel comfortable to express yourself. You will make your own creation every week that you will be so proud of using SUSTAINABLE products and foam free designs. You will get to experiment with the product each week to personalise your design, we believe these personal touches matter. You will be encouraged to not just ‘copy’ what we do, unless of course you want to!
No experience is required to join this course. Suitable for anyone who loves flowers from absolute beginners to more experienced florists wanting a refresh and for those in aligned industries keen to gain more confidence with flowers (for example interior designers, stylists etc)
If you ever have to miss a lesson all your flowers, fixings, vessels and instructions will be saved for you to collect so you don’t miss out.
Week 1: Vase
Meet and greet, let’s get to know each other.
Talk – Flower care + tools of the trade. Sustainability…..when to use what…chicken wire, flower frogs, tape etc.
Discussion – Flower recipes, what works and why.
Demonstration – The best vases to buy and harnessing your natural style.
Make – Glass vase arrangement showcasing your premium blooms.
Week 2: Posy
Focus – Technique + flower choices.
Talk – Colour theory – tone, contrast and colour selection…why some combinations just work. Let your personality shine with your flower combinations.
Demonstration – Hand tied organic style posy and wrapping techniques.
Make – Create a hand tied posy with seasonal blooms and learn how to wrap it as a gift.
Week 3: Arrange
Discussion – ‘Contemporary’ designs in floral education….what does this even mean?
Focus – Textural composition + floral juxtaposition. Which flowers sing beautifully given freedom and space.
Demonstration – Natural arrangement with twigs, garden flowers, dried and fresh elements with a moss base.
Make – Create your own arrangement, embracing an organic, natural feel.
Week 4: Table
Talk – Table styling + centrepiece designs.
Demonstration – Table arrangement, elegant, whimsical design.
Make – Create your own special arrangement to take home with premium elegant flowers.
Celebrate – Style the table together using your arrangements, crockery, flatware, candles and linens to create a beautiful table display. Celebrate the end of the course with bubbles and food with your new flower friends.
Cost – $1,995 – Includes everything each week….VERY generous flowers, vessels, fixings, refreshments and final class celebration.
